About the Event

In the panel moderated by Canan Can, Gülen Kurt Bulut from Samsun Regional Coordination Centre talked about organ transplantation and coordination processes, Tokat Provincial Mufti Esat Yapıcı talked about organ donation and its evaluation from an Islamic perspective, and Prof. Dr. Fatma Ülger from Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine talked about brain death diagnosis and donor care. In the panel where both medical and religious dimensions of organ donation were conveyed to the participants by experts, Dr. Tuğba Solmaz from the Faculty of Health Sciences made the closing presentation of the "Do You Want to Be a Light to Hope?" project, while Fatma Meydan from the Faculty of Health Sciences made a model presentation about the project. At the end of the programme, Prof. Dr. Sevtap Doksöz Boncukçu shared her life experience on kidney transplantation with the participants.
